I photographed a statue of Our Lady from my collection. Printed the photo, cut it out. Painted a piece of old fabric to use as her background. Several tiny glass seed beads were sewn on this backdrop. Round the outside edge I stitched down a piece of silk ribbon that suggests a garland of roses.
This original design was printed and encased in a hand-formed steel case with domed poly carbonate lens. Case and lens fabricated by Rhett in his studio. A split ring attached to the case allows a 24" nickel plated stainless steel ball chain slide through this piece of artwork designed to hang round your neck.
